Size of Envelope? (accepted/deferred/rejected)

<p>What size was the envelope you recieved in the mail and did you get accepted/deferred/rejected?</p>

<p>I just got a regular envelope that is kindof think. I'm not going to open it up if it is a rejection.</p>

<p>deferred is a regular envelope and accepted is a huge thick envelope with blue pillars on it.</p>

<p>For Michigan, it's the usual big = accepted, but I've actually gotten acceptances when the envelope was rather small, though not for Michigan. It's a bit odd...</p>

<p>the envelope is roughly the same size as the letter. that is to say, the letter snuggly fits into the envelope along with a nice little packet about umich</p>

<p>i havent been accepted to Umich, but generally the acceptance packets are a little bigger than a piece of paper and usually have some type of slogan on the front. A small envelope generally is not good news.</p>

<p>I got into Honors for Minnesota and they sent me one small piece of paper saying I got in.</p>

<p>But yeah, for the most part, acceptance packets are bigger.</p>

<p>williamhd, you probably got deferred. You should open it, as your chances are far from gone because of that.</p>

<p>It's a deferral/rejection, by looking at your stats and judging by the envelope you got.</p>

<p>how much time does it take for the acceptance envelope to reach you??...its been a week since i checked my decision online but still nothing from them in paper!...:(</p>

<p>If it has to go all the way to India, it's got to pass through a lot of hands before it gets to you.</p>

<p>thats understandable but isn't it sent by courier or sth?? that hardly takes 2 days....i think i am a bit over anxious!!</p>

<p>actually, you might want to call them next week. my letter got lost in the mail and came a month and half later. i called and they sent me another one. i got both within a week of each other.</p>

<p>how do you check your decision online? And yeah....since I am from India too, admission letters take quite a while to come. They send them through this stupid company AJ Worldwide or something....and sometimes it might take 1 month to reach you !!!</p>
