<p>Typically this is the case... most acceptance letters are 8 1/2" x 11" or so envelopes and carry registration materials. However, from one state school I applied to I received a standard envelope from, it said "Congratulations!" on it .. probably so as not to give people a heart attack. They are sending registration info soon.</p>
<p>My acceptance letter last year was in a relatively big priority mail envelope.</p>
