<p>SJLA is really a great program!</p>
<p>I couldn’t help but think of “Animal House” when I saw the word “Toga”. John Belushi would be very disappointed in Scranton’s version of a Toga party… :D</p>
<p>I just received my letter this weekend stating I was offered a spot inthis program. Any insight into the program would be appreciated. The letter stated that only 50 students were selected. I will be visiting at the end if Feb so I hope to receive more info then.</p>
<p>Congratulations! Do it! It is a fantastic program. You are in with the best of the best. You will develop critical thinking skills, the ability to think logically, the ability to speak and write more clearly. Many of the best professors teach courses within the SJLA program. My daughter graduated from the program and has said it was definitely the right thing to do. Some of the core requirements are met by the SJLA courses, so you are still able to carry a double major if you choose.</p>
<p>Before you visit, see if you can arrange to meet with the director of the program. I’m sure he would be happy to speak with you about it.</p>
