I know my score are a little rough, but would it really hurt my chances?
I also forgot to mention my AP academics: I took 5 Junior year (Calculus BC (5), United States History (3), Chemistry(3), Environmental Science(4), English Language and Comp (5)
UC/CSU GPA? Scores are really low for schools except SJSU. If you could raise your scores, you’d have a nice shot at UCB. Intended major?
I’d say SJSU. Your tests are killing your chances. Any way to get those up?
Berkeley is always a reach.
I plan on majoring in Computer Science (probably L&S) or Applied Mathematics because it is a little bit less competitive
I’m working on them, but I’ve recently switched over to the ACT hoping for better scores. What are the projected ACT scores that they usually accept?
@collegecurious29 I’d say don’t apply to a major that you don’t want. Scope out how easy it is for internal switches. 25th/75th percentile scores for UCB were 26/31.
SJSU: Match
UCD: Low Reach/High Match
UCB: Reach
You have a competitive GPA but your test scores will hurt you especially for a CS major. Good Luck and raise your scores 2000+/30+.
