Son finally got admission packet 
Hey guys,
I recently just got in to SJSU as a transfer but I don’t have that communications class required? Will I for sure get rescinded or do I have a chance of staying in? I have all of my other pre-reqs done except for that one. Thanks.
I got bad news for you @psivan286…Any school in California is going to rescind your application. You NEED comm 1. period. Get your rear end to a CC that runs on a quarter system STAT, and go into as many comm 1 classes as you can in this first week and try to get an add code.

@someguyinSJ Not any/every California school. Only CSUs require COMM 1, while UCs require foreign language, and privates all have different requirements.
BTW did anybody else get invited via email to the Honors program? are you gonna do it?
@90smix Wonderful information that I knew. Sure, I overreached with “every school”…But this is specifically an SJSU thread, which requires comm 1.
@psivan286 don’t listen to that guy below you. My app to SJSU was thrown out because I didn’t take a Comm course at a CCC. However, I got into SF State using a (decently random) out of state course. If you have received an admission, you are IN as long as Aunt Becky didn’t pay for you to get in.
I think I’m going to do the honors program. Have you done the writing test yet?
Today is the deadline! I appealed at another college but I am set to go to SJSU right now.
