SJSU Transfer Fall 2016

Alright I want to know if I sound like I will be getting in. Applied to SJSU with a 3.0 and since completing their supplemental application my GPA is now a 3.1. I also have will have an AS-T and be a local applicant. The major I’m applying for is their Math BA.

I have also applied to CSU Chico for the B.S. in math there.

Does it sound like I’ll be admitted as a transfer to one of these two?

Check the SJSU transfer GPA’s from last year and compare.

@Gumbymom

yeah I’m above that; it’s been super low at a 2.4 for a long time. However, given the full campus impaction for all majors and other variables at play I’m still curious to see how I stack up against other potential competitors as whole.

@Gumbymom

Is the threshold GPA really a gatekeeper for transfer students at SJSU? Just curious, their admissions department has never given me a good answer for this.

The GPA thresholds will change each year based on the competitiveness of the applicant pool. I think you have an excellent chance based on GPA, that your are local and have your AS-T. Good luck.

I wasn’t able to RSVP for Admitted Spartan Day on time, do you guys think I can just show up and just pay for parking on my own? Or do they actually check people and prevent them from walking on campus?

@chs2014 Hi, sorry I didn’t see your post sooner. I hope you ended up going. The RSVP was only for a parking pass.
