SJSU Undeclared Due to Impacted Major?

I just got my SJSU packet for acceptance, but they put me as undeclared, although I applied under Computer Science (BS). Is there any reason I didn't meet the impacted threshold? I'm not sure what happened - did this happen for anyone else?

My GPA at the time was 3.9 with an SAT of 2010, which should've satisfied the Eligibility Index for Computer Science. I also live in California.

@Quarking: My son was accepted to SJSU also Undeclared but applied under Computer Science. It means you did not make the cutoff for their Eligibility Index (EI) this year. For Computer Science it was 4550. Last year it was 4100. My son has decided to decline the admission since he has 5 other schools that have accepted him for Computer Science and still waiting for a few more. You would have to try and change your major after Fall semester but according to the letter no guarantees. Good Luck with your decision and check the Fall 2014 acceptance thread for SJSU. There are many CC posters in the same situation.

We are in a similar situation, high stats, lots of acceptances to better schools with merit aid, yet not accepted into the cs program at sjsu. SJSU is in a budget crisis. Could it be that they gave the spots to out of state students who want to come to San Jose? Btw…we are also Santa Clara County residents.
