SJSU- business accounting vs. UCSB- Econ accounting
Which one is better?

Top accounting firms recruit heavily at both, so consider it a tossup. What is going to make a difference in your future isn’t the school you choose, its the effort you put into doing well in class and finding an internship.

However the student experience is night-and-day. Many SJSU students live at home, making it primarily a commuter campus. This can be a good way to save a large chunk of money (tuition is less, too), but there is a tradeoff. Most UCSB students live on/near campus, so you’ll get more of what people term the “college experience”. And it might be easier during the school year to find a part-time job in accounting or do an internship at SJSU with a larger urban area right there; people do find work during the school year at UCSB though.
