I'm deciding between San Jose State University and University of the Pacific. My major is business but I'm pretty sure I will change it. Honestly, I don't know which one to pick. HELP??

Hi,
These are both good schools, but they are vastly different environments. SJSU is more of a commuter school, while UoP has plenty of population on the weekends. Both schools have smart, vibrant students and opportunities for internships during your course work. SJSU is less expensive at first glance, but UoP has completely generous scholarship packages.
So, ask yourself these questions:
Do I want campus activities on the weekends (UoP) or would I rather find a weekend job (more available in Santa Clara/San Jose)
Do I want a brick and ivy campus (UoP) or something edgier (SJSU)
When you talked to the department heads, who took a more personal interest?
UoP babysits their students a bit…if you oversleep then your Professor will be phoning you. Class sizes are usually 20 students, there is no hiding in the background. There are no “weeder” classes and then there is the 4-yr guarantee and study abroad.
SJSU offers more majors and minors if you think that you’ll be switching, but also has “weeder” classes to knock the weak students out. There are more work study openings at SJSU because it is a bigger school, but there are also more people qualifying for work study.
It really comes down to…big fish in small pond, or small fish in big pond.

Academically, UOP is better. Which one is better overall? UOP. SJSU only has good location.
