SJSU's Math 123 Content Credit Only. Do I still need to take it before transferring?

Hi all, so I go to Mission College and plan to transfer to San Jose State in a couple of years. I use assist.org to see the prereqs classes I need to transfer and one of them is Math 123, which in my college are Math 4B and 4C. The problem is, when I looked at assist.org, it says that my college’s version of Math 123 will only count as completed requirements but will not receive upper division credits, which probably means that I need to take it again at SJSU. So do you guys think I should take those 2 classes? If I do, I’d have two take Math classes for 2 summers. Thank you!

I forgot to mention, I am a Computer Engineering Major.

If you take them before transfer, then you would not have to take it again to fulfill the requirement for that specific course. It would only matter if you need a specific number of upper division units or courses that you fall short of, but then you could take other upper division courses for those needed upper division units or courses.
