not ONE reply? jeeze.

college of charleston is right next to the beach...i've heard that the professors there are a little laidback though...dont know much about Saint Josephs but it sounds like a popular school for avg students in pennsylvania...if it were me id choose CofC purely because of the surf and the great Charleston city (i personally think Charleston is a better area than philly)

Better area in terms of what?

i agree i much prefer the area charleston is in, i have heard that the professors are laid back but in terms of what?

the women are gorgeous too, 70 - 30 % wise

I'll give you that, but dont hate on Philly. Esp. since St. Joe's is right near where I live.

anyone else

anyone anyone anyone?

bumping again

My friend goes to SJU and has received an excellent education. I have respect for that institution which is more than I can say for CofC.

C of C baby. Uhhhhh...Julie Burigo!

Charlestons a sweet town- way better than philly

why dont you have respect for c of c?

who is julie burigo?

SJU is in a nice art of philly, its not that bad of an area.

no its not too bad. its weird, one half is pretty bad, one half is pretty dang nice...

The pretty dang nice is where I live ;)

hows the nightlife at sju...i just dk if i can deal with the whole diff way of life down in charleston

You have two pretty different schools here. What led you to apply to either of them? Maybe the answer to that will help you decide.
Also, did you speak to anyone from the ECON dept? Chatting with a prof or chairman might give you an idea of how much you would benefit from the education.
Ask questions re: outcomes for the econ majors. Do they go into employment or grad school & where? That may help clarify what you will get from each place. But the environments are so different, I don't think you can say one is a "better place to be" than the other...they're just Different!
