Skateboard?

If i skate around campus with a longbaord (to get to places) will i get in trouble? I heard skating on campus is not allowed, but i see people do it when im at the campus. Would security ticket or ignore me if they saw me skating (for transportation)?

They could in specific areas of campus. Outer ring road = nono, inner ring road and other sidewalks and things = ok.

I skate to class w/ my friend's longboard all the tiem and its np. skating around mesa court to relax at 11 pm at night is win. Skating down the mesa parking structure at 12 pm = more win.

shoefactory, would u recommend a longboard or a bike to bring? or maybe both? cus i enjoy doing both, but wat would be better at UCI?

Longboard is more convenient because if you want to go on a path where you might get in trouble, you can just carry it around instead of walking your bike.

I happen to be buying a longboard this summer.

i know this thread is kind of old
but speaking of longboards,
what kind do you guys recommend?
sector9s are definitely popular but a lot say they're overrated?
it's going to be my first longboard
and price isn't really a factor BUT..something reasonable especially since..like i said it's going to be my first one.
thanks in advance!

i got a $85 one on ebay about a few weeks ago

the seller is sextondj

it's a 29" mini longboard (shortboard). the brand is socal skater (some no name brand) but it is 100% legit

yeah sector9 is popular. i advise you just get cheap board for your first one, theyre all the same anyways. You can always buy new trucks or wheels if they suck.
