Is it worth it to bring ice/hockey skates up to Cornell?

(I mean, what are the advantages/perks besides it being cold up there a lot)

You don’t have to pay $2 for skates if you play intramural ice hockey. there’s also open skate hours, i’m pretty sure during the day on thurs and at night one day during the week. You’re not going to be ice skating on a lake or anything. Either in Lynah or at the complex off Rt 13

they’re worth it if you enjoy being on the ice. There’s lots of opportunities available and it’s always better to have your own skates vs. the rentals.

i figure skate, so obviously i brought mine up with me. if you really love hockey, you can take hockey for your gym (i took advanced figure skating
). plus, you can play club hockey or play for a frat if they “recruit” you for their league. it is definitely worth it if you have them. as you probably know, all rental skates suck
