Skidmore ED Chances?

I find out in a couple of weeks about whether or not I got into Skidmore, but I still constantly wonder if I have a good chance. I recently applied early decision, and my stats are as follows:

-I have an 85 GPA (low, I know)
-My SAT was 1790, math being my lowest
-I interned for an (NYS) Assemblywoman from last year until present
-I am the editor of the school literary magazine
-I attended the NYS Young Writers Institute, which was ON Skidmore’s campus over the summer of 2014
-I am a member of JSA (Debate team)
-I take a writing class outside of school
-I have four writing awards, one international first place award and 3 Scholastic Art and Writing awards

I had an interview too, which the Alumn interviewing me said was ‘very impressive’

Some things I suppose are worth noting in the eyes of admission?:
-I am African-American
-I am female
-I am the first of my family (both parents as well as five siblings, 3 older and 2 younger) to go to college
-I have major depression, which I highlighted in my college essay, showing ‘strength’ and my ability to overcome.

That’s about it. What do you guys think?

Malahnix, I think you have a reasonable shot. The fact that you applied ED II instead of regular decision should give you a boost. It could go either way, but I would remain optimistic. What are your other choices?

@malahnix - Your GPA isn’t super high and neither is your SAT, but you are still in the 25-75% range, so you definitely have a shot. You do have some good ECs, and I get the sense that you could get a boost from your ethnicity (though I admit I don’t really know that for sure). You have reason to be optimistic, but you are certainly not a sure thing. Good idea to make sure to have some safeties just in case. Good luck!
