Skiing near NU?!

Hey all,
Anyone know if there are any skiing "resorts" in Illinois that is relatively close to NU? I heard the closest one is about an hour away but I was unable to find anything on google. If you guys know anything, it would be much appreciated!

thanks and good luck with winter quarter!

Happy Holidays!

i also tried google and couldn't find anything close :-(
this is the single downside i have found to NU...
i live to snowboard :-D

there's wilmot which is about 1 hour-ish from northwestern. also, much farther but probably better skiing is devil's head. both are in wisconsin, though. i don't know of any in illinois. if you google each, you should get more info.

thanks, i'll check those out!
I'm taking every chance i got skiing over winter break haha!
Going to Breckenridge today!

StrikeX2, I'm also a skiier and snowboarder. I used to live in Libertyville, IL, but that was when I was quite young and I don't remember that name of the resort, but there is a resort quite close to Libertyville (which is about 30 minutes from Chicago).

So, I can ask some of my friends in IL and see what it's called. Don't let it be the deciding factor though, I'm sure there is some way you could board if you went there. However, the conditions are not nearly as good as Colorado or Utah. Are you from CO?

Happy holidays!

that would be awesome dpattzlover. Yea i am from Colorado ^_^

Happy Holidays!

Theres also Four Lakes about 30 mins away. Its not really TRAILS, more like bunny hills lol, but there are also some other places like Wilmont, a few others I'll try to find the names for....there are a lot more in Michigan if you're willing to drive out there

Skiing conditions around here are kinda iffy- if you're from colorado you wont be too impressed, but hey, skiing is always fun xD
