Skip Honors Physics/Chem????

Currently I'm a sophomore, and our school's switching to a shorter period schedule. I had planned out junior year that I'd take maybe honors physics and chem one year then AP Physics (I'm pretty sure its C) and AP Chem.

Now because of the schedule change next year that won't work.

I'm wondering if I could at-least skip the honors requirement for the classes. I know for physics that you need Calculus, but I'm already taking AB right now and so far it's been a breeze. I'm thinking of just doing PSEO and taking Calc 2 at the U of M here. So any suggestions?

taking an honor or regular science class and then taking the AP version after, is totally overrated. Many people go straight to AP and do fine, if not thrive. I think you should take AP Chem junior year and then go AP physics C senior year. With time and effort, you will do good in each class. If your up to it, you could also self study physics b junior year?
~Just my 2 cents

I skipped honors physics and I was fine but I would suggest taking honors chem. AP chem is hard enough without a chem background (at least in my school there is a sizable minority of kids who fail every test… many of which have gotten into Ivy League schools).

Okay so if I did take AP Physics C next year without honors, permitting if my school allowed it, would I probably be able to pass the class with my only previous knowledge of physics being 9th grade honors science?

Same thing basically if took AP Chem instead, only background being 9th grade really (Half year was focused on chemistry other half on physics).
