Skip or Not

I'm a freshman and my algebra 2 class is soooooo boring but all my friends are in that class. I'm thinking about skipping next years pre Clac and going straight to ap calculus, but my friend says I shouldn't do it because all my friends will get really distant, which is exactly what happened to her when she skipped a couple math classes in middle school. So here's the question, Skip or not?

Skip, if you can’t, but if you might not be able to.

Do you already know the unit circle and the properties of sine and cosign? How are you with trig stuff?

AP Calc is very pre calc-based with elements of algebra blended in the process. A lot of the work is setting stuff up and adhering to the unit circle rules. Algebra comes in after you do all that, but the hardest and most prominent part is getting there, at least IME.

I skipped a grade in math (skipped alg 2 and took precalc in soph. year instead of junior)
Now, I’m a junior, taking BC calc. (and doing fine) but I regret my decision.
It’s just so much better being with your peers in math, also sticking with the same class makes the workload a bit less
I often wish that I was with some of my friends in precalc this year
