I took the APUSH exam this morning, and in the middle of my second essay, I managed to accidentally skip a page.
Basically, two of the pages in my writing packet stuck together, so when I flipped the page to continue writing, I left a two-page spread blank. I asked one of the proctors if I should do anything, and she left for a few minutes to check before telling me not to worry about it.
Do the AP readers go through every page of the writing packet, or will the rest of my essay be ignored because of the blank pages? I would hate to score a 4 because of that one essay when the entire test was so easy.
If the proctor told you not to worry about it, why are you asking us? It’s not like we know any differently.
For confirmation, I guess. I’m sure I’m not the only person to have ever done this, but I’m stressing myself out thinking about it, so hearing about another person’s experience might help me.
@sgflcl I did that on psych…same situation! like for psych the prompt is reprinted on every page so i accidentally skipped the first page and wrote on the second one instead. On that page that i skipped, i wrote a note saying “Answer starts on page 2”
I think they are required to look at every page. I did that on world history last year (I skipped more than one page) and it turned out fine.
It’s the second essay. They’re going to find the rest of your second before they read the third. There’s no way they’d intentionally ignore part of your essay.
