Skipping Football Senior Year?

So I’ve played varsity football my sophomore and junior years. Senior year is coming up, and I’m seriously thinking about not playing…

I have a bad injury that is only fixable by surgery, meaning I’d have to play with this injury for the entirety of the season. I’d still be able to play, but not 100%.

I really want to focus on academics and get into a good college.

I feel that football takes up WAAYYY too much time (3-4 hrs/day) and practice is excruciating.

The Coach is a B!#$%.

We are going to suck anyways.

I love football, but I think the negatives outweigh the positives in my situation. What do YOU think? And how will this look on my college app? Will it show that I’m not committed?

If you’re injured, I seriously doubt any college would hold it against you.

Having been through multiple sports seasons with a terrible coach, not really enjoying the sport, in retrospect I probably just wouldn’t have played in the first place.

Yeah I really don’t feel like playing so I prob wont.

Hey don’t you have an account on section2harrier?

american football is garbage.

sigurros,

Do not make derogatory remarks about other peoples religion! LOL

Seriously; American football is a culturally important institution that generates vast amounts of money for colleges and private business.

It is a dangerous sport that should only be played by people in good health who really love it.

To the OP,
No one should expect you to “play hurt” at the secondary level.
