skipping intro econ to intermediate?

i know we're allowed to skip an intro economics course if we earned a 5 on an econ exam and the calculus BC exam, but has anyone on CC actually done so, and how difficult was it?

I know it only mentions one 5 on the Yale website, but in the Yale handbook or somewhere else it mentions getting 5's on both. I think you need 5's on micro, macro, and BC to be eligible.

Even with those scores, I would talk with a prof about skipping for a long time before considering it. High school AP Econs/BC are a joke; they are really easy to get 5's in and excel in the classes. The intro course at Yale is much more in depth, and from what I hear it is much more difficult to skip. There is a reason Yale gives no acceleration credit for 5's on Econ...

LOL: About the first two weeks of intro covered my entire HS coursework. I eventually majored in Econ (although i found the lecturers to be lacking)
