Just out of curiosity, do you guys ever skip school or make up an excuse so that you can work on your college applications?

no why would you do that
you have 8 hours after school for homework/college applications
why procrastinate to that extreme measure

lol to the OP -- I do the same thing.

I have play practice, debate practice, and work after school. Go us.

I only skip study halls... I finished my application though

Once when we had a substitute teacher in our Biology, a friend of mine went to the library to work on her CommonApp.

Not to work on my college applications . . .

I did that for NU D:

I skip school when I get overwhelmed by work or if I have a HUGE paper/project due the next day. I call them my "mental health days" even though they're so far from helping my mental health. Occasionally I take legit ones when I feel overwhelmed as a whole (but have no work to do).

I thought the OP was really funny. I geuss these are the kinds of things people at CC skip class for. Although personally I don't.

Well, I had oral surgery and was out of school for four days. I finished 3 apps, yo.

I'm taking all of my classes at a University instead of my high school, and I skip lectures all the time to work on hw or catch up on stuff...pretty bad

I skip school to not do stuff related to school...But really, its not like its that hard to get your college apps done, anyone with half-decent time management skills can.

You ever go to sleep thinking tomorrow's gonna be a definite snow-day, only to wake up and find out that the weatherman was on crack and there's only 2 inches of snow on the ground? Yea, I neeeever go to school on those days.

^^^ Haha. I live in New York, i know what you mean. 2 inches of a snow here is "Major snow storm" . I guess if we ever get a foot it'll be the end of the world.

yup i do take em
