I would really prefer not to take the swim test during orientation. It said on the sheet that if you do not pass you will have to take beginning swim. I've also heard that many people take it later (even in senior year). If I don't go will I be enrolled in beginning swim?

no you will not be enrolled in anything if you dont take it or you dont sign up for it...

i'm still avoiding it...just know that you cant graduate until you pass it...

so if you think you can learn during the summer in the comfort of your home, then please do :)

though you wont be able to take PE i think...until you have your swim test passed or enroll in SWIM PE

so were you allowed to take PE classes even though you still havent taken the test? i know how to swim i just have a ton to do on monday and id rather not take the time out to swim/shower and everything

if that's your reason then it's a pitiful one...lol

i dont think you're allowed to have a PE of your choice (other than swim) if you havent passed the test

If you can't swim, take the course. If you can, take the test. It's pretty simple, even though incoming student bring this issue up every year.

It was easy. Just take it quick and get it over with.

CB1278... your orientation schedule looks daunting, but it is really very doable. Just take the test and get it over with. You'll be happy when it's over. It's not a big deal at all.
