Hey, I've heard the Skull and Bones society is an offshoot of a secret German cult that dines on Hitler's silverware and has Geronimo's shrunken head. Furthermore, I've heard that once a year all the S&B members go to a secret island in upstate New York and does such pagan rituals as sacrificing babies and drinking their blood. Can anyone verify this?

As a member of the Skull and Bones society, I can tell you with the utmost certainty that everything you say is completely true and not made up by rumour-mongers, and that I personally drank the blood of many a baby in my day.

/end sarcasm

wikipedia can answer your questions here, pretty much. don't believe what you see in movies.

if you want a book on the subject, alexandra robbin's is pretty decent: Secrets of the Tomb: Skull and Bones, The Ivy League, and the Hidden Paths of Power

The first rule of Skull and Bones is, you do not talk about Skull and Bones.
The second rule of Skull and Bones is, you do not talk about Skull and Bones.

To be honest, nobody even thinks about skulls&bones here on campus. I'm pretty sure they're still around, but all secret societies have been on a tremendous and steady decline since a few decades back. Today, it seems most of them are focused on charity activity and also try and tap a diverse and gender-equal new squadron of members.

Ahh, occult societies are not what they used to be.

haha thats all wrong. check out the collegeprower's "inside the ivy league" excerpt on the skull and bones. that's probably closer to the truth

This thread is hopefully satire?

"The first rule of Skull and Bones is: you do not talk about Skull and Bones."

The second rule of Skull and Bones is: you do not ever violate the first rule.

"Skull and Bones is so secret as I don't even know it still exists." (G. W. Bush)

You mean to say they aren't recruited as secret CIA operatives?

Bush was in. So was Kerry.

What? He didn't get in what? Both G. H. Bush and G. W. Bush were Bonesmen.
