Slac

What is the relationship between Stanford undergard and SLAC? More specifically, do physics majors have any opportunities to research/intern at SLAC?

For most undergrads, SLAC is more a tourist place XD however, there’re always physics professors looking for cheap Undergrad labor to exploit. If you find the right professor and work your way through the system, you can definitely work at the SLAC by your junior year, although some geniuses have made it there freshman year.

I don’t think it’s actually that hard to get research positions there starting freshman year, especially if you have good computer programming skills. Most physics majors don’t start doing research until at least the summer after freshman year, at which point several professors at SLAC are looking for students to work in their lab.
