Does anyone have any experiences with the slavic R5B course (Russian lit)? I really like this topic but was also wonderring how difficult the class is?

Some say it's on the easier side of second half of the R and C classes, but they say that about German R5B, and my friend found that he didn't agree with the assesment at all. It really depends on your skills abilities and work ethic and the teacher's expectations and demands. It will probably just be average, as in about as hard as all second half of the R and C classes. Take it if it interests you, especially if Nabakov is on the reading list. :)

anyone else?

drab, do you know anything about comparative literature r1a?

Nothing the average person doesn't. I think they go the quickest (along with English and rhetoric), and they're more like what you would expect in a traditional English class than say rhetoric would be. Comp lit in the academic world basically means literature not in English that isn't part of the Classical canon (as far as I know), but they read all sorts of things. I say go by theme/reading list and teacher quality. The comp lit GSIs/profs will be fairly smart, but that doesn't mean they will be good teachers. Try 'em out.
