I have a major, major problem. And it's not about boys, or parents... It's about sleep.

Since about the beginning of October, I've been constantly tired, but these past 2 weeks have been insane. The day before yesterday, I went to bed at around 1am, and I was so tired that I slept through my alarm and my mom trying to wake me up, and I woke up at 12. Then, I got up, ate breakfast, and then got really tired again, so I went back to sleep (it wasn't like regular tired. It was like 'I was going to fall asleep right then and there' tired). I woke up at 3:30, looked at the clock, and then went back to sleep. I woke up at 5:30. I then went to a concert (Panic!!!) so I got home at like 11. I was kind of tired at the concert, but it was fun anyway. I went to bed almost immediately when I got home. I didn't have school today, so I slept until about 1:30pm. I stayed up until about 5:30, at which point I was about to collapse and I slept until 6:15.

I know that this isn't normal, and I really don't know what to do. This is bewildering. And it's ruining my schedule and life. I can't get to school on time for the life of me. I've been at least an hour late like every day since I started sleeping like this, and recently, it's gotten so much worse. Help? Please? I'm desperate.

I have sleep issues too, but they are not as severe as yours. I would suggest allotting 8 hours per night or something to sleep. If you try this and still feel exhausted then mabye you should go to the doctor.

I have no other symptoms. And this isn't like normal tired-ness. This is crazy. I can't keep my eyes open. And I can't stay up for more than about 5 hours without getting tired.

This might sound stupid...but you might have mono. My best friend had it, she basically slept through the two weeks of school that she had to miss.

I get this way a lot. I call it my perpetually tired stage. The only way I get over it is by going to new york for a day. I have no clue where you live though..so it's probably not possible for you.

My throat started to hurt today, so it might be mono. I slept today from 3-11pm, and I'm still tired, so I'll go to sleep soon.

It sucks, though, because I missed tuesday and wednesday (but we didn't have classes wednesday, we just had to come in) and I missed today (but that was mostly because I had a family event) so I really have to come to school on time tomorrow. =/ I hope this goes away.

I'm probably going to go to the doctor on monday or something.

You have been programmed to believe that school > sleep. Put the book down and hit the pillow. Teacher might b1tch, "where are the math problems???" who cares honestly each assigment is prob 1/100 of your grade. Don't kill yourself just to avoid the trouble of (where-t-f is the hw? or (from parent) why'd u get a b- in that class?).

okay if you live in nyc then...well, if some miracle were to occur and I go to columbia like I dream too, I will get back to you in about 3-4 years.

you've been an hour late for school? wow. yeah i definitely would not put off going to the doctor. like..preferably call and make an appointment now.

Yikes. That's doesn't sound normal, and this is coming from someone whose sleep deprivation and perpetual tiredness comes from two-hour a night slumber cycles. Yeah, consult a doctor.

It could be just exhaustion, though, so take it easy for a bit. If you can't take the rigor, don't. Nothing is worth your health and well-being.
