Sleep Thread

Ok... so like a few months ago or so, i would probably spend like 2 hours on homework.... and if there's a AP class test the next day, i would study for like 2-4 hours. Now, as the year has progressed i seem to have to study even more..... and i am not getting enough sleep. Last night, on a friggin saturday, i stood up until 2 catchin up in AP Calc and AP Chem. My parents are saying that its typical, and thats high school life.

How many hours of sleep do you guys get. I have ACT this saturday, but i have a major test everyday this week, and i am worried that i'll be pooped by the time ACT comes :(! *uck! *uck! *uck! why does life need to be so harsh!

i used to get like 7 hours of sleep on the weekdays, but now i'm getting about 5 hours! NOT HEALTHY!@!!!

I don't sleep either. I take about 10 caffeine pills a day, to just get through it, and by the time sleepy time comes around, I just stay awake lying in bed- becuase I can't sleep.

I go to bed every day around 12:30 or 1 a.m and will wake up around 9 am so i usualy get about 8 hrs a night, which is alot more than i expected!

i normally get about 9, but that's only because i start homework the second i get home and work until i go to bed...thank goodness for weekends, that's all i can say!

I usually go to bed at 1:00 or 2:00 something a.m., and later if I have to finish some homework or study. I get up at 6:00 something, so I get 5 hours at most.

I usually go to bed around 1:30 and wake up at 8:00. it sounds like enough but I'm always tired!

So it looks like i'm not alone... HA!

of course not! just look at how many people are still on CC right now...

I'm the king of procrastination, so on sunday nights, I usually get about 1-2 hours of sleep. Sometimes less than one. But I have a class at 8AM on mondays then no class until 11:45AM. Usually I take stuff like math tests cold because I don't feel like going through the problems and I don't have the patience. Surprising how I pulled a B+ in AB calc though...I didn't even study for the final.

All during finals week, about two weeks ago, I got 7 hours of sleep that WHOLE WEEK. But I did well on my finals for whatever weird reason considering the lack of sleep and an early onset of senioritis.

AP Econ: A- <-fluke because it was the last final of the term and having gotten 7 hours of sleep all week, enough was enough. I deserved an A though. One more question and I would have gotten an A.
English IV: A <-don't know how that happened...yay essays.
AB Calc: B+ <-Took this final cold i.e. no studying.
AP Euro: B- <-first final, ran out of time, wrote DBQ in 15 minutes. Needless to say, I only got through 2 of the 5 paragraphs in the DBQ.
AP Enviro: B<-I was most worried about this class but this came the most unexpected. Seriously a B? My test average in that class was a C!!!!! I had 2 B-s, 2 Ds and 1 C or something. This was a D before I discovered that my teacher made a mistake calculating the points and it was actually a B. He said that I got a 66% on multiple choice (100 on essays) and then SUBTRACTED 66 from 100, making my multiple choice subscore a 34 rather than a 66. I have NEVER in my life seen such a gross mathematical mistake, especially from a science teacher.

It's kind of weird because I'm kind of used to having that little sleep for whatever reason. I'm always tired, but it's not like I have trouble getting out of bed...oh wait, I DO have trouble getting out of bed. I don't have trouble staying awake in class though. It's like I just don't sleep. Like when I went to Dickinson summer session, I went to bed at 4AM every single day and woke up at 6-8AM on weekdays and 12-2PM on weekends. Surprising thing is I only overslept twice in all five weeks. I thought I'd oversleep a lot more times.

i usually get less than 6.5 hours of sleep during the week because i hate going to sleep at night . i love my bed , its super comfortable and it takes me only a few minutes to falll asleep in it but i just cant seem to get myself in bed before 11, yet in the morning i am just dying to go to bed.
I wish i could be noctournal.

Work in ibanking lol. You'll never go to bed.

but i bet most of you don't spend all this time studying like what we should be doing as high school students. I know some people who say "dude, i'm so tired.... i only got 3 hours of sleep", and i ask "doing wat?".... and they say homework. and i'm like "it took u that long?!".... and they say... "well, i had to go to the mall with my friends". ***! wats more important.... doing something else, or doing something more productive. I set all my freetime during the summer or on weekends. Come on! You gotta prepare for the harsh future somehow that we will experience till our death (work, kids, bills, family, all that stuff)!

I usually go to bed from 10:00-11:30. I wake up at 7:00 so it's 7-9 hours a night.

These days I've been sleeping @ 2am b/c my "work to finish" pile just never seems to lessen. I wake up @ 6:30am to have a shower. I'm one of those people who need LOADS of sleep, so by the end of school, I'm ready to fall onto the ground and go to sleep.

I hate my computer, because once I turn it on, I wont be able to stop until at least an hour later. I usually get around 7 hours of sleep. I probably could get at least 8:30 if I concentrate on hw at home.

I pretty much do everything extracurricular-wise and then procrastinate a little. Then I start homework and I go to bed ~2:00 am. I wake up at 6:20 ideally, but usually closer to 6:45 because I'm soo damned tired..then I take a shower, etc. to get picked up by my friend at 7:10ish. I never do my hair or anything because I never have time. Kind of sad..it's a vicious cycle haha

I have a terrible procrastination problem, insomnia, and a caffeine problem.

I don't sleep.

I'd get more sleep...if my cursed school didn't start at 6:40.

...
...

....

SIX FORTY?!

as in a.m.?

that has to be illegal.

It should be - everyone is so tired in my 0 period class...
