I have a lot of homework this year, but I spend way more time staring blankly at it than actually doing it. If I stopped procrastinating I could probably get it done a lot sooner and go to bed earlier. But even then I don't think I'd get much more sleep than I do now (usually about five hours a night). Most nights I lie in bed trying to will myself to sleep, but I can't because I'm stressed and my mind won't shut up and let me rest.

i usually go 2 bed after 2 am on weekdays and after 3 on the weekends...(but that may also be to me being an insomniac (well i think i am 1))

I can always get to sleep as soon as I go to bed. I usually go to bed between 12-1... sometimes 1:30. after 2 though I definitely feel pretty bad the next day.

Wow, you guys seriously need to chill out. I get about 8-9 hours of sleep everyday, and I'm doing just fine. Like so many people have said before: just don't waste your time.

wow, i'm suprised how stressed some people are.... I'm not stressed at all, and I'm easily getting all A's in my classes (obviously that's not a very good measurement because I'm sure most of you have harder classes than me right now... mine are easy). Even though I'm keeping busy with soccer, working, and homework, I still usually get 7-8 hours of sleep. I guess I must need a good amount of sleep because even with 7 hours I'm still kinda tired during the day. Either that or my classes are just too boring, haha.

Edit: I just realized the guy above me said pretty much the same thing, haha. So I agree with you cc77cc77cc

It's all about time management. Those who get less than 8 hours of sleep suck at managing their time.

I get all my homework done during the weekends that way during the week I can study and rest. Even if you don't do it during the weekends, then work on homework right after you get home. I get home at 5:00 and go to bed at 10:00. Five hours is plenty of time to get homework done. And if that still isn't enough, learn to do your homework quicker to a point where quantity > quality (don't do this in English). Most teachers don't have time to look at your work. They glance at it to see you put effort into it. There's no use wasting time trying to answer/solve one question.

sleep=5 hrs max
it's what all the cool kids do

Haha, well let's see it's 2:02 AM, and I've gotta get up at 6AM for Science Olympiad. Haha, maybe not going to bed would be easier, but then I have dance afterward.......

Anyone remember when we were little kids and we'd always want to stay up late? That went to hell..

^ Haha, indeed. :D

I go to bed around 1 or 2.. wake up at 7:30, but that's just because I'm talking on aim the whole time, i could and should go to bed at like 10:30 or 11.

i slept 18 hrs last nite.....YAYAAAA
but i din even lie in bed the nite b4 so...

ps. no i was not on x

i go to sleep at like.. 1 or 2 ish.. wake up at 6:45

as a freshman =p

well i dont waste my time...i'm just taking a lot of APs and honors classes and i have a lot of ECs goin on during the day, which is why i get home much later and am up late into the night doing hw

What about during the weekends? As hard as it may seem, getting everything done during Sat./Sun. really helps for the upcoming week.

I don't get enough sleep at all. I have some pretty nasty insomnia, so even though I go to bed at 11:00, I often don't fall asleep until midnight or later. That gives me 6.5 hours of sleep. Maybe some of you guys can run on that, but not me. I'm a zombie at school.

On weekends and holidays, though, I'm a sleep fiend. Anything under 10 hours us unacceptable. >:[

Hehehe...A couple weeks ago, the teachers at my school had a faculty meeting about how the entire junior class is too competetive, overloaded, sleep deprived, ect. We had three teachers lecture us about it (even my Spanish teacher went off on a huge tirade in Spanish) and my history teacher has taken to asking everyone what time they went to sleep the night before. The thing is, they haven't let up on the work a bit. We would all be able to get some sleep if they would let us, but nooooo: we have to finish this paper, and write up this lab report, and study for this test and this quiz...

It's sad. So many people have had breakdowns in the iddlle of class because of stress and lack of sleep.

^lol, yes. everyone says to sleep more, and yet they also want so much more work.

Wow, you guys make me laugh. Don't procrastinate. Do it during the weekends.

You complain about not getting enough sleep, but it's your fault, not the teachers'. Get over it.

i get more hw during the weekends (which sucks) and most of my teachers dont tell me whats coming up for the upcoming week wit hw or anything (actually i think only 1 teacher does..AP USH)
