i usually only have like an hour or maybe 2 of homework a night and a usually go to bed around 11pm on weekdays. for the weekends i usually go to sleep around 12 or 1 am.

its gotten worse and worse for me...
Freshman year was great cause we didnt take too many AP classes and I was cruising on 8-9 hours each night. But then came 10th grade, the honors track, research lab, and clubs and the admissions craze. So I ended up being happy when I got 7 or so, but usually hovered between 5 and 6. Then 11th. All APs and more activities than the last year. My typical was 5 hours. And during crunch times or deadlines I went on 3-4.

This year, Im taking the most APs Ive ever taken, doing more activities, and have that great pathogenic feeling stemming from my knowledge of being admitted to college all ready (thus causing senioritis) that makes me procrastinate EVERYTHING. I typically get 3 hours of sleep. In crunch times and deadlines, I get 1 or 2 hours. And I'm still on the lucky side, because most of my friends just pull allnighters (yea...0 hours) during hellweeks.

It really is getting out of hand.

I usually run on about 5-6 hours sleep during the weekdays. I go to bed around 12am and then I wake up at 6am. Sometimes though I can't fall asleep until 1am or 2am.

The thing with me is I take a 1-2 hour nap in the afternoon. It's not something I try to do voluntarily, it's just I fall asleep because I am so tired. That leads to me getting thrown off.

At least on weekends I get at least 8-10 hours.

The worst part: I'm currently only a freshmen with honors only :(

I guess it'll get worse, but I just need to stop procrastinating and going on AIM / CC ;)

i sleep about 7 hours a night, although sometimes i have papers due or something and i end up sleeping at 3.

taking 4 aps, some ecs, but usually i start the hw right after school.

I often get zero hours of sleep as a freshman. After all, TimeManagement is my middle name.

See, I don't care how much homework I have on a certain night. I HAVE to go to bed by 10:00. My body can hardly function under 8 hours of sleep. Besides, I get tired so quickly, I'd be lucky if I could stay up past 11:00.

I usually get to bed at 12:30ish if I'm lucky, and 2:00ish normally. Then, I get to wake up at 5:30. Yayyy. I love life.

But, actually, I do pretty well until Thursday or Friday, when the lack of sleep really hits me. It's a disaster. One of my friends has to deal with complete DEADness four classes in a row. I don't know how she keeps from shooting me =). The good news is, the only classes that I really have to pay attention during are AP Chem and USH... the rest of my teachers have grown to accept my Thursday-Friday lethargy.

Junior year I used to get around 3 hours of sleep. I'd be lucky if I got to bed before 2 and would normally wake up around 4:30 or 5:00 to pack in some more studying. I don't know how I did it since I had 4 APs and no free periods during the day, and no lunch period, it was 9 periods back to back and then I'd stay at the school until 6 for debate. Now as a senior, I definitely get more sleep, and if I don't it's because I'm wasting time. It's all worth it though, since I got into my first choice school ED... seriously, work as hard as you can junior year and sacrifice a few hours of sleep, and sleep on friday... trust me, it's worth it.

Hehehehe...it's 2:00 AM right now and I can't go to sleep. Not because I have homework (well I do, but that's not the point). It's because I have to clean my room. Seriously, if my room isn't clean to my dad's "satisfaction" by tomorrow morning, he's going to call and cancel my after school art class which, right now, is one of the very very few things that are keeping me sane. If I can't get out of here for at least a few hours every week (besides school) I am literally going to go mad. I just can't deal with my dad for that long. So I am driving myself insane cleaning this stupid room just so in the long run I can stay somewhat sane. Sound crazy to you? It is.

End rant. Sorry 'bout that.

College will be extra fun for you, that's all.

Just do keep your dorm room clean, k? ;)

OMG I have like two classes tomorrow. I only have to be in school from 12:30 to 2PM. Yet I have to get up at 6 because my sister has zero period. Zero period has to be the worst invention ever.

It used to be hard for me to get to sleep before, but 3 weeks ago I got a new harder pillow and now I get to sleep sooner =)

I'm not allowed to go to bed until everyone in my house is asleep, which sucks. Usually, I get between 6-8 on weekdays and saturdays, and like 12 saturday night. It doesn't help to have a couch as a bed either.

So, am I the only one who never does homework for that long anymore? I remember doing homework for hours on end through my junior year, but this year I really haven't done much, except for in US Gov't (which was only 1st quarter). I guess I have gotten to the point where I can wait around until the last second, write three 1500 word government essays in about 6-7 hours at once, and still get A's on all of them. Or I do calculus homework at school while the teacher is going over it the next day.

Then again, my block scheduling has to help me somewhere. You would think we would cover the same amount of material in half the time, but we really don't. I still somehow don't go to bed until 11-12 every night, but that's because I play games until I realize that it's late and I better start on whatever homework or scholarship stuff I have, only to decide that I would rather go to bed. I pushed myself way to hard my first three years and burnt out I suppose.

Oh, and my teachers are really cool this term, I have AP Psych first block, which I can be 5 minutes late and bring in Chic-Fil-A every day, AP Calc is still kind of hard, I have student aid third block which is basically a study hall, and fourth block is economics with our senile AP teacher. Yay block scheduling!

Hey, it's all about a schedule. You gotta stick to it... If you set a schedule and do many activities, you will get your work done faster... Because you know you have to...

I get at least 7 hours of sleep per night.
