How much sleep do you current students get?
Does it vary by major/school? i.e. LSA/Engineering/Ross

6-7 hours a night, generally up no later than 1 or 2 and sleep no later than 9

^ that is pretty much the norm.

I’m 2-9 almost every day. So 7 hours.

I try to get 8. 10 on some days when I don’t have class til 1 pm (helps being able to get a money schedule). I love sleep… too bad banking will ruin that… : (

6 or 7 works, I can easily manage with that number, but 8 is where I’m basically fully alert all day. Less than 6 and I need to start forcing myself to focus in class (without coffee that is).

Jesus Christ, all of you sleep a lot. I get 4-5 hours at most. Just last night I got only 3.

@constable – wow. No way could I function off of that little. What is your major?

well, a little more than 5 hours per day…

got no choice since I am a senior student in Chinese High School…

10 hours/ day these days unless I have something due/exam the next day… I am already in senior spring mode for some reason.

I get around 6-10 hours a night depending on the workload that day.

Dang, only 6-7 hours? Is this because you’re very busy with school work/studying? Or becasue you spend all night out with friends/partying?

“Dang, only 6-7 hours? Is this because you’re very busy with school work/studying? Or becasue you spend all night out with friends/partying?”

If getting enough sleep is a priority to you then you can do it without sacrificing your grades if you manage your time right.

Well I kinda thought that I’d get at least a little more sleep naturally since I no longer have to wake up at 6AM for school.

No, but you’re probably not starting work/homework/socializing at 3pm anymore either. I have class from 10-5 every day, plus work and meetings. I was getting 0-3 hours of sleep the past few months but I quit my internship on Sunday morning, slept for 16 hours, and then slept 9 hours last night. I am thinking now that I am not so overloaded I’ll be able to manage 6-8.
