Sleeping in class?

I once fell asleep while sitting in on a class at a college that I was visiting

That is funny ... fitting right into the college experience! Sleeping in big lectures was OK as long as you sat in the back and didn't snore.

Oh man, last year in Euro I fell asleep almost every day. But only the 1-second asleep, 1-second awake kind of thing. The funny thing was we were always taking notes, and I would look down and see that I had kept writing notes while asleep--unintelligible gibberish.

hah thats funny

For teachers that yell at me in class when I go to sleep, I plan ahead with excuses or ways for them not to notice. So I just went to the eye doctor and got that cheap anti-reflectant thing you put over your glasses when you get your pupils dilated.

So Monday in class, teacher will go, "take off those sunglasses"
I go, "I just got my pupils dilated."

A good 2 hours of wholesome sleep, without getting caught.

Pinch the back of your knee, real hard, with your thumbnail. I swear it works--especially if you pinch all sudden-like, so you shock yourself. After three or so pinches it wears off, so you move to the inside of your elbow. There it's best not to pinch sudden and short--you've got to hold it (which is why I prefer the back of the knee.) However, if you have jeans on, the elbow could be a better place to start. If you are still falling asleep, try pinching the soft skin on the side of your arm, right before where your armpit starts. Start with a sudden pinch and hold it longer and longer as needed.

I used to fall asleep consistently in PreCalc--I would have my legs crossed, and the teacher would subtly knock my foot off my knee so it would fall, and I would wake up.

haha im so trying that Monday..as well as the other tips, except idk about the sunglasses one..idk if im brave enough lol

Dude that's pretty cool. If I was a teacher, I would do that. They would get to miss my lecture and the homework assignment, too. That's pretty fair. But I'm afraid of people failing. So nevermind.

i have a hard time sleeping in school, even if i received no sleep the night before.

Last year, I had a really hard time staying awake. This year, I've gotten way less sleep, but somehow I don't feel as sleepy. Besides, I find it very disrespectful to fall asleep in class.
