<p>It’s extremely rude and insensitive (as well as unpersuasive) to TELL someone that something they FIRMLY believe is “silly.” You can try to present evidence by reputable sources but ultimately, it’s important to agree to disagree and not disrespect them. In any case, it sounds like the matter was resolved for OP. </p>

<p>I have never been swayed by anyone who told me anything I firmly believe is “silly” (really think that’s a bad strategy), and would find it highly offensive–good way to pick & heighten any hard feelings.</p>

<p>fan suffocation due to CO2 poisoning has absolutely nothing to do with the fan. CO2 only builds up significantly if you’re living in a 25 sq ft nuclear bunker.</p>

<p>hypothermia is plausible, but you’d have to be anorexic with a really light body and NO metabolism.</p>
