ok this might be a little stupid. i have never shared a room or roomed with anyone before. i usually only wear a shirt and underwear to sleep. i feel like with a roommate this probably not going to work. so what exactly do people wear to sleep in college?

I think for most people that’s fine. Just talk to your roommate beforehand. T-shirt and boxers is what I sleep in, I hope my roommate doesn’t have a problem with that because I’ll have a problem with him if he does.

i spent a week out of the country on a HS trip. We (3 guys shared a room) slept in out boxers with no big deal. Then again we all knew each others but wernt best friends so really i guess it depends on your roommate.

That should be fine, just make sure the boxers aren’t TOO small.

You can always wear pants to bed, then take them off under the covers. Keep them next to your pillow if you have to get up before them/get up in the middle of the night.

Your roommate probably won’t care. My first roommate slept naked sometimes, which was a little shocking at first but I just got used to that and tuned it out lol. She knew I was bi, too…very odd, but I just ignored it.

People wear… whatever they want to. I did have a bit more privacy than most people since I had a divided double, but the door between our rooms was always open until right before we went to sleep. My roommate and I wore various things to sleep in throughout the year and none of them were ever a problem. I’ve slept in underwear, sweats, my boyfriend’s boxers, tshirts, tank tops, shorts, whatever.
