Hi, sorry this is my first post, and it's slightly early for this question, but I was wondering a few things about Nova admissions.

I've read that their middle 50% ACT was 31-34 or something around that, which I thought was much higher than I'd heard previously. I plan on applying Early Action, but is EA at Nova simply for the more-qualified students?

White, Catholic, Male

ACT: 30 - but retaking in June
GPA: W - 3.95
APs: 7 by end of Senior year
AP Scores: APUSH - 4
Extra-Currics: Elected to cabinet 4 years, NHS secretary, Model UN Advisor and winner of 3 awards, Parish leadership team, Political volunteerwork for 6+ campaigns, Volunteering with inner-city students after school.
SAT II's: Take next week, Spanish, World Hist., Lit.

Major: Either Intl. Business, or Political Science.

Do I have a chance at EA, or RD? Nova is really high on my list, and I'd always thought Villanova was selective, but not too difficult. Thanks!

You have a great shot RD, and a slightly slimmer chance EA. Your stats are right there.

They don’t take SAT II’s so don’t worry about that.

What was your SAT I score?

I didn’t take SAT I, but I needed the SAT IIs for Georgetown.

If I do well on the subject tests, is it a good idea to submit them to Nova with my application, or are they not considered?

i had lower a little bit lower stats than you and i got in EA for engineering… you should be fine !

Depends if you apply for business…VSB is far more competitive than any of the other schools. I got waitlisted for business, but after viewing your credentials, I am fairly confident that you would be a splendid candidate for VSB.

Best of luck,
Mike

you’ve got it in the bag man. the 30 is about average but everything else makes you stand out. 7 APs is crazy.

Thanks everybody for your help and opinions, I really appreciate it.

Is the business school much more competetive/difficult to be admitted to?

Yes, it is. Trust me I know lol…there were other kids in my school who got into the liberal arts college at Villanova and I know for a fact that I could have been accepted when I compare myself to them. I got placed in this same aggravating situation at BC as well. Although BC is more difficult to get into than Nova IMO.
