Slow ACT Scores

Soo basically most of my college apps are due on the first and second of the new year bu I still haven't received my writing score for my ACT. What do I do on commonapp? It's not complete so I can't send it in. It's my first time working with all this so any help would be really appreciated..

Where are you applying?

Duke, Hopkins, Stanford, Univ of Chicago, UCSF, and USC

They will hopefully be understanding of your circumstance, but please be sure to email or contact the admissions office about your scores being delayed. You may have to submit the common app without the scores and send them later.

What scores you put on the Common App are not essential – you could leave that section blank and it won’t matter. Each college will need the official scores sent to them directly.

Go ahead and submit your portion of the app. You’ll be fine as long as you send the official scores to the colleges, ordered from the ACT organization. If you had them sent already under your “free” scores at time of test taking, then you’re fine and don’t need to have them re-sent.

All the ones you list accept the December ACT test even if the scores arrive after Jan 2. You should not delay submitting the application because that must be submitted by the application deadline. (Also, I assume you were aware that the UCSF application was due by November 30.)

Oh gosh okay I feel so much better after reading this. I’ve already left emails with all of the admissions offices. Oh and I double checked UCSF on common app, it’is due on 1/15
