I was an applicant from the U.S. and my school sent out my mid-year transcript as quickly as possible via mail - which was early February. I live down in Virginia, so it shouldn’t have taken thaaat long to reach the university. For a month, though, the document never showed up as reviewed or received on Join UofT. I called the school on 3/10 to ask about why my transcript hadn’t been updated on the site yet, and got an answer of “the document scanning facility is really backed up right now” lol.
So today, even though my transcript still hasn’t been reviewed, I received notice that the Computer Science (for Faculty of Arts/Sciences) program @ St. George campus was unable to accept me, as the program was filled (although I did receive admission to UTM). I turned in all of my documents on time… so I’m kind of worried that I lost my spot because they just might not have reviewed my documents early enough due to scanning time - in fact, my transcript still has no indicator that it’s been received. I’m pretty frustrated, as it was St. George or bust for me. Has anyone else had this problem/is this a valid concern? …or am i just being petty 
Dude, why didn’t you just upload a scan of your transcript?
It can take 2 weeks or more for mail to move from Virginia to Toronto. U of T’s website specifically says to send transcripts via Parchment or Naviance.
U of T St George computer science has been extremely competitive for the past 3 or 4 years. They ran out of spaces very early on last season. I wouldn’t feel too bad - it’s not a direct admission to the major. Even if a student is admitted to the computer science program, they still have to meet a fairly high grade in their first year computer science courses to be admitted to the major. Only about 25% of students meet the benchmark.
What other schools have you been admitted to?
I’m kind of worried about this too! I’m Canadian, but from the other side of the country. My official mid-year grades didn’t come out until late last week, and I had my school mail them right away as instructed by OUAC. My JoinID shows that my application has been reviewed (documents that I uploaded before provided deadline, a long time ago), and at risk of sounding cocky, my grades are above the requirement for my program. Could my decision be delayed because of my college choice? I applied for Life Sciences at Trinity for reference. TIA
If you filled out the Trinity supplemental application, you should probably expect a decision this coming Tuesday night or later.
