i just submitted my slr but it didn't ask me to verify anything. i'm a ca resident and all it asked was whether or not my parents and i was physically present in ca for more than three years. that was it. it took like a couple seconds and now i'm worried that i may have done something wrong because everyone else had to verify their residency and it took longer. did any other ca resident get this?

ya i just checked all the questions and was done

yup. pretty stupid huh.

I did the same thing, and hope that was right.

that's werid, coz im a cal resident and it took me like 20 minutes. According to them, they said cal residents will take about 20 minutes to complete SLR while non-residents will take about 5 minutes.

If you claim to be a California resident for tuition purposes, the average time for completing the SLR is less than 20 minutes, although it can take longer if the system asks for additional information. If you do not claim to be a California resident, you should be able to complete the form in less than 5 minutes. New students who do NOT submit an SLR by the stated deadline will be assessed nonresident fees.

mine also took only a few seconds...checking the yes boxes and typing in yes. Did we do something wrong!?!?

maybe they already verified us somehow? by highschool? no idea

yeah i was worried too when mine only took about a minute to complete.

i emailed the office and they said that each individual's SLR is unique and thus requires a different amount of information. this may mean that if you already have an older sibling in/at berkeley/uc system, perhaps they don't need proof once again.

...but then again, i know people to whom this doesn't apply...so, i'm not exactly sure about how that works...

I'm a cal resident and it took me more about 20 minutes. I had to fill out the information about myself and my parents.

My younger brother goes to Cal, so I imagine they matched up our information - it took me < 1 min. to do the form.

I dont have any siblings at a UC and it still only took a few seconds

same here.

As did I strange though. Maybe long SIR's were random.

Weird. Yes, mine took about a minute or two...then I thought where's the rest.

It took me almost 1/2 hr
