the decisions r up today....i got waitlisted to the program and it was my top choice :'(..congrats to all who got in though....jus wonderin how many do u think typically will get off the waitlist?

o ya u can post decisons here too...

How did you find out?

u have to log into your myslu thing on the site..the decision is posted there in a link

hmm that's weird, I don't think I ever got an account.

To schritzo, go to this LINK. Your username (SLU net ID) is in the admissions packet that they sent you. The temporary password is "Id" followed by the last six digits of your Banner ID. I got waitlisted...

I logged in earlier but didn't find a link to click on. Any tips on where to find it?

If there is no link under the "Personal Announcements" section that says "Medical Scholars Decisions", then they didn't post your results yet. In the e-mail they sent me, they actually said they were posting the results on March 2nd at 8:00 A.M., but I guess they posted it earlier for some.

maybe they posted all waitlists early because my results are up and i got waitlisted :-(

^My friend got in. His results were posted today.

^3 of my friends got in too...really wish i had too

I got in, checked just now...after i figured out how to set up the account

i got in! :) however, ive heard a lot of mixed things about this program. apparently they accept 90-100 people and only about 45 people are able to meet the requirements to get into med school. anyone know why?

i totally was not expecting this...

i got in!!!

I got accepted!

The advisors say the main reasons the number of scholars go down over the years is that:

a. They find out they don't want to go into the medical field anymore.
b. They got too involved in non-academic activities and didn't keep their grades up
c. They were going into medicine for the wrong reasons and the med school interviewers in sophomore year could see that.

Congrats to everyone who made it and good luck to those on the waitlist!

"c. They were going into medicine for the wrong reasons and the med school interviewers in sophomore year could see that."

Isn't that nice. After you submit an application for freshman year for admission into their med program, get accepted to it, then they decide after the 2nd year that you are going into medicine for the wrong reasons.

They never interview us as a high schooler or ask for an essay. So it makes sense that someone with that kind of thinking could still get in. Right?

Hey I just got in to this programand I was wondering what dorms would be better at which to stay. I was leaning to reinhart. Where is everyone else staying who are in the program?
