SLU med scholars

Anyone know when we find out if we got in or not?

"The accept or decline letters will be mailed to applicants on March 1."

Straight from the website.

hey so i got an email from them saying i was waitlisted

do a lot of people get on these waitlists? because i could be at the bottom or the top of it, who knows

is it worth to wait all the way until late april or early may? im considering going to a school in india and i have to pay them in a couple of weeks, but i would hate it if i got into slu in the end and was stuck in india

is slu really that good of a med program to wait for like that? cause from what i hear its not really a program cause you have to go through an interview again during sophomore year and not everyone makes it through

i got an acceptance mail that said the packet would come in the mail later.

i got acceptance letter as well

Same here. I don't really understand the program yet though. It seems like a good backup for me.

you have to keep a 3.3 freshman year and 3.4 sophomore year and you stay in the program and are accepted to the med school in your sophomore year . . .

it does seem like a good back up plan type of option and they kind of sell it as that if you talk to the people on campus.

To Those Who Got Accepted,

ok i need some advice on getting accepted. first off, what sort of SAT score is required? also, ive made C’s in math my sophomore and junior years, but ive heard that the entrance requirement for the program is 3.5 and that getting in is not the hard part. my GPa is in fact higher. also, is there an early decision deadline or is there only one sort of application? i just need to know because i will have some leadership positions in school by next year and my courses will be more challenging, but i dont know if these achievements will factor into my admission because all this will have occurred by december of my senior. any advice is greatly appreciated. thanks
