SLU PT Program

I'm a rising HS senior and am very interested in Saint Louis!
I really would like to be accepted to the 6 year physical therapy program. Are there any current or incoming SLU PTs who could give me an idea of how hard it is to get into this program? I've heard it's pretty competitive but I would like to know specifics! Are PT shadowing or volunteering hours recommended/required, and did you do any? What was your ACT score and GPA? How many AP sciences did you take?

Just for reference: I currently have a 4.0 UW, 4.7 W with a 31 ACT. I've taken AP Biology, AP World History (5), AP U.S. History, and AP English. Next year I will be in AP Calculus, AP Govt, and AP English. I've done a couple PT shadowing hours but not too many (less than 10). I'm involved in leadership (NSHS Pres. and NHS Member At Large) and have over 300 service hours. Also in the process of GS Gold Award.

Thanks in advance for the replies!

Btw - I just visited SLU yesterday and it was one of the best campus visits yet! Not only were the SLU tour guides SO helpful, but after the tour we went down to the Medical Campus and a senior in the physical therapy program gave us a personal tour! Then we sat down with a faculty member and went through the whole program. It definitely felt like they wanted me to come to SLU and succeed, rather than be weeded out of the program. Plus they let me keep the sign they put up that said “Welcome [MY NAME] to St. Louis’s program in physical therapy!” SLU has now jumped to the top of my list. Campus was gorgeous!

I’m curious about other’s experiences with this program! Any insight?
