Small 4-year liberal arts colleges

For anyone who knows, what is your take on Albright College (PA), Merrimack College (MA) and Elizabethtown College (PA)? My son has applied to all 3, and has just been accepted at Albright.

Thanks

sorry haven't really heard of any of them, ( with the exception of Albright but that was just because of the president scandal) I assume you are in the general area? I would strongly advise a visit if possible, that can make a difference toward the final decision.

I have zero personal knowledge but we will be doing a Pennsylvania swing it seems. I've looked at E'town online and would think it would rank higher than the other two. The girl/ guy is whacked (if I remember right) and I think that is why D won't look at it. We have looked some at Lycoming and Fendergirl can clue you in on York. Of the smaller Pa. LAC's, with a step up in selectivity , I like Washington and Jefferson, Ursinus, Allegheny and Juniata.

We have already visited Merrimack, located in a suburb about 30 minutes north of Boston. They have been expanding and upgrading quite a bit. My son liked it a lot and had a good interviewing experience. I'm hoping for feedback on anyone's personal experience, as student or parent or even a "friend of"

Same for Albright and Elizabethtown.

Thanks to those who've responded so far.

--"bump"--

I live in New England and understand that Merrimack is a pretty good school - and it is in a greal local - about 45 min into Boston. Andover is a great location and a very nice area in general. (years ago my uncle was a coach there!)

I have several friends whose kids have gone or are going to Merrimcak - and they all like it there - they have all commented that the campus is pretty safe, their student is involved in on-campus things and that the academics are quite good. Sorry I can't claim first-hand knowledge but hope this helps a bit.

Good Luck
