Small City & High School

I live in a very small city in rural Nevada. The city itself is only about 7,000 people and the high school is probably about 800 kids. My graduating class is about 200 kids. There is only one high school in my city, and the nearest city to me is 2.5 hours away. Therefore, I am stuck in the high school here, it is a small public one and not very prestigious- at all! It is one that if I put it on paper no one would EVER have heard of it, A person probably couldn't even Google it and find a result. Will this hurt my chances of admissions? I want to apply to Mich State and TAMU. I see all of the threads with people talking about going to private prestigious high schools and I don't have that. I am hoping this won't hurt my chances but if it will how can I get around that??
Thanks for helping!

You will be coming from a somewhat underrepresented state and some colleges love applicants like you......with a lot to contribute. You sure aren't coming from yet another suburban community where everyone looks, acts and is the same. Relish your diversity....everyone else will be glad to.

Hazmat is absolutely right. Please do not worry about your hs's reputation. This is nothing to worry about.
