when i get a letter in the mail next week, will its size foreshadow its content?

Yes. A large envelope is sent to admitted applicants.

if i remember correctly, RD envelopes are larger than EA envelopes. But EA people get two envelopes.

wish i get a denial in a big one....or........................maybe..otherwise ....

When I see the size of my letter I'll let you know what size envelope the reject decisions are sent in.

that would be cruel if they sent rejection letters in big envelopes that just had a piece a paper that said REJECTED in size 72 font :(

Acceptance letters will be big and white with "MIT" writen in blocky, art-deco-ish, yellow letters on the front. Well they will be assuming nothing has changed since they sent out EA letters. If you look back in the threads I seem to remember someone posting a link to some pictures.

I hate how you can tell before you even open the darn letter... ;_;

For those who are curious, I assume that the rejection letter will look very similar to that of the deferral letter, i.e. a white standard business envelope with MIT written in red on it.

Rejection letter will look identical to that of the deferral letter from outside.

does rejection have yellow MIT?
