Small question about a curve

I recently took a math 1b midterm with Wilkening. The curve was as follows, with the number of students falling in that range:
25-32 -> A 74
20-24 -> B 101
15-19 -> C 95
10-14 -> D 71

I was curious what the usual split up of A-/A/A+, B-/B/B+ etc. is in a college class, since Wilkening only posted a rough scale. It might be noteworthy that only 16 students scored 28 or above, and most of the As were in the 25-27 range. Thanks for any insight.

it depends entirely on the professor. for lower division premed requirements, usually 10-15% A's, 10-15% A-'s.

Math 1B is especially harsh, partly because students do especially badly. I took 1B long ago, actually. At the end of the course, the professor (Professor Wu who still teaches, not Math 1B any more though) made some analogy with American football, then said he doesn't regret failing so many of us, because we didn't work hard enough, and he has to set high standards. ;-)
