small school for smart students?

I think he’s gonna have a hard time in college if he constantly sees himself as better than others, because he deems them not as smart as him. He doesn’t want to go to a school with almost 45,000 kids (UM) because he’s afraid he will know too many people from his high school there?

As momrath said, I think that before you let your son get much more involved in deciding which schools he will consider and which ones he will refuse, you need to get your hands around the amount of money you will be able to contribute, every year for four years. I know it’s not as much fun as dreaming about all the great-seeming colleges which seem to be possible for him right now, but if you don’t get that number nailed down very soon there could be a lot of heartbreak ahead which could have been avoided.

This is a good time for you to find out exactly which schools will guarantee merit aid for his set of statistics.
