Small science - like schools?

4 yr residential, with some humanities required, vs the local bar that serves java only and nuthin else aka, "the dupage county technology institute - you, too, can learn computer programming").

As I understand it, Harvey Mudd is not a pure technology school , true?

Is Rose Hulman also not a pure technology school, too?

If so, what are similar schools as these, smaller (under 3k), very good, adept actually, in the sciences, including computer science, but having a liberal science component?

Is RPI in this class picture? oops, I just saw that it is about 6500 students. Olin at 300 is way too small and specialized for my question here. HM at 700 is probably too small , also, but since it has those other schools near it , this might compensate.

So what are smaller schools adept in sciences under 3k students, peers with Rose Hulman, and H Mudd?

and, what are middle sized schools adept in sciences under 7k students, peers with RPI.

Carnegie Mellon - 6,000 undergraduates
Lehigh - 4,800 undergraduates

Carleton is a top LAC college with a very strong reputation in the Sciences.

Rice (~3200 undergrads) certainly comes to mind. Perhaps also Brandeis (~3200), Case Western (~4400) or U Rochester (~4600).

Bucknell, Lafayette, Union, and Trinity (TX) are a few LACs that would probably fit.
