I am going to audition for the BA Theatre program at my university. The university is mainly known for research, business and engineering, and the theatre department is small. I was told by the person who signed me up for the audition that only ten people showed up to audition last semester. Does this mean I have a greater chance of being accepted? Or is this a typical number of applicants?

It would help if you mentioned the name of the university. Most “decent” theatre programs have many people audition for their programs. If you are already attending a university, and would like to pursue theatre, then it sounds like you have a great chance.
