I've been assigned to a small triple room in College Ten for fall ( I'm an incoming Freshman), and I'm wondering what small triple rooms are like. This was not my first priority choice - double, single, triple were all before this one - so I'm not sure what to expect from it. Anyone have any experience in a small triple room? Was it fun =]

They’re definitely fun. Having two roomies is a great experience. If they’re not too messy anyhow! I never had any space problems.

I was pretty cramped after a while.

Had friends whose room was a small triple. It was pretty cramped and cluttered but if you rearrange the beds correctly like an L shape, then you can actually get more room then how they do it, | | . But it wasn’t too bad, I don’t think. Many people were still able to hang out in there. Just that one person lucks out and has bottom bunk while two others have top bunk.

As a former RA, we were told at the end of the year that most small triples at College Ten were going to be converted back into double rooms. So, I’m guessing that you are lucky enough to be assigned to one of the few small triples.

On my floor last year, I had many small triples, but all of them were only occupied by two people. I think after winter quarter, residents were given the option to pay the room rate for doubles and in return, have the room reconfigured for a double arrangement. At least that’s what my boss told me. Not sure how that worked out or if it ever happened, as I never saw any rooms get rearranged, lol.
