SMC to UCI Business Admin

Hey guys I am applying this fall to many of the UCs and maybe usc and some csu. I am a business major and am wondering if I dont finish one of the major classes(stats) for UCI do I have a 0% chance to get accepted or does it just hurt my chances? Many of the UCs have similar requirements but a few different classes which is throwing me off on my plan. If I cant finish everything by spring will I have to wait another year? I will still apply but I feel like im screwed. Any chance of getting admitted intro the next spring?

Ask your transfer adviser, they have much more experience with this situation.

What is your specific major? UCI has Business Admin, Business Info Management, and Business Econ. (Business Econ isn’t offered at the Paul Merage School of Business though.)

  • For Business Admin, an equivalent course to UCI's MGMT 7 (Statistics for Business Decision Making) is required for transfer. If this is your intended major, not taking Statistics will hurt your chances of getting admitted.
  • For Business Info Management, Statistics isn't a requirement for transfer. You can take it at UCI if you're admitted.
  • For Business Econ, Statistics is not a requirement.

If you go to ASSIST.org, you’ll see which courses must be done by Spring 2016. I look at these articulation agreements religiously, and am referring to them as I’m typing this up, haha. I am also a community college student looking to transfer to UCI as well for BIM or Business Admin.

It will hurt your chances because you are competing for spots with people who completed the prereqs. Read http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/ and ask there.
