Smith Class of 2020 RD Discussion

Can internationals get early writes?

@TrishaAgarwal I don’t think so. Like, from what I’ve heard people usually get early writes in their mail and I definitely don’t think they’re going to mail us something now that we have just a week left! :stuck_out_tongue:

@AnimalLover0209 Well some colleges reply only through mail. God knows when I will receive decisions from them. :3

Got the Zollman (and STRIDE) notification in the mail today. I’m an early write, and nothing seems to have changed in the portal.

Are any of you STRIDE recipients ( @circuscats @TsarinasMom @LikeThis ) from the west coast? I am anxiously waiting wondering if it could still be on its way or if I am out of luck. I am an early-write. Thanks!

@rainybackpacker we are on the west coast and my daughter received STRIDE letter yesterday afternoon. Hang in there.

I’m practically stalking my mailbox here! Without a Stride (and FA) she will most likely attend UCLA…

@rainybackpacker I’m on the east coast. Wishing for the best for you!

@nubble16 @circuscats thank you for the info and the support!

I got an email from Smith saying that all decisions will be up on BannerWeb on the 25th of March at (after?) 6 PM EDT. I don’t want to wait that long. :stuck_out_tongue:

We’re from the Midwest.

@Remmyk and @vavoom, D’s stats; 3.8 (UW), ACT 33, and she applied RD.

@pralinegirl, envelope was postmarked 3/18/16. I don’t know if it matters but D is classified as a minority so she also got invite to Discovery weekend for minority students. Maybe that is why she got an acceptance letter.

I am an early write and STRIDE scholar from Mass. Seriously considering Smith with this amazing offer. Official decisions should come March 25.

Hey! I’m from the south and just got a STRIDE, but didn’t get an early write. It’s possible that I did but our mail service is kind of sketchy so maybe it just didn’t make it here…

@server456 Hooray and well done! <:-P

@pralinegirl thank you :slight_smile:

Good luck to all! Parents, when your daughter gets the good news, take a minute to join the unofficial, closed, Smith College Parents and Families Facebook group. Nearly 600 members and going strong since 2011!

Decisions are up! For me at least. Waitlisted. :frowning:

Where r u from?
